10 Bounty Hunter
During the epilogue of the game, the player takes control of John Marston and gets a first-hand glance at the events that led up until the start of the first Red Dead Redemption. The game does a great job at catching the player up with former members of the Van Der Linde gang as they uncover what events have unfolded.
As John makes his way towards Mexico he runs into Sadie Adler who’s now a professional bounty hunter. It’s a job that suits her well and allows her to continue delivering justice in her special way.
9 It’s Cold?
Throughout the game, Arthur Morgan will have to change outfits depending on the temperature of the environment he’s traversing. If players don’t do this it can result in real issues for Arthur’s stamina and well-being.
Depending on what area the game’s story is taking place non-playable characters will also be sporting weather-specific attire, well everyone but Sadie Adler. Luckily, for those wishing to see her in winter gear, she can be seen wearing exactly that in the multiplayer online mode called Red Dead Online.
The voice actress who brought Sadie Adler to life is Alex McKenna. Playing Sadie is one of her biggest roles which is surprising because she does a fantastic job of expressing a woman who feels lost in the world after her entire existence was robbed from her in a moment.
Sadie is a likable character despite having many character flaws, and along the way her and Charles prove to be the closest thing to family, Arthur Morgan has ever had. Hopefully, with her performance as Sadie, Alex McKenna will grace player’s ears in numerous games in the future.
When players dive into Red Dead Online the assumption is that you’ll be playing in the same world as the main campaign, but will have the opportunity to interact with other human players.
Well, it turns out only 3 main characters from the single-player campaign can be seen in the online mode. Sadie Adler is one of these people and it’s no surprise considering she’s a fan favorite and has had the best post-Van Der Linde gang life out of the bunch. If you finish the story and want more Sadie simply jump into the online mode.
6 Dutch’s Parallel
Throughout the game, Dutch Van Der Linde is at first seen as a charismatic leader who only wants a better life for his followers. As time goes on it’s clear he’s delusional and will come up with any justification to make his actions feel necessary.
Sadie Adler tends to do the same type of justifying to Arthur Morgan and John Marston as they see her ultra-violent tendencies. The difference is that behind those character flaws Sadie has the right intentions and wants to make bad people pay for their actions.
5 Widow To Who?
During the introduction mission of the game, players control Arthur Morgan as he and his gang go about a recon mission in the area around their winter base. They come across their rival gang in the O’Driscoll boys outside of a random house and it quickly turns into a shootout.
This fight results in the death of a man named Jake Adler, and the rescue of his now widowed wife, Sadie Adler. The death of her husband is the catalyst of her entire character arc focusing on revenge and violence focused on the O’Driscolls.
4 Not Affiliated
At no point in the game is it ever made clear that Sadie Adler is associated with the Van Der Linde gang. This is crazy considering the other member she spends a ton of time with, Charles, is often written about in the news as a member of the infamous group.
This is likely due to her being a newer addition to the crew, and most people probably don’t know who she is due to a lack of a previous criminal record. This lack of association is great considering she moved on to a more lawful career.
3 Watch Your Mouth
One of the coolest parts about the level of detail that Rockstar Games put into the game is that characters will react in certain ways depending on the way you treat them. The more verbally sarcastic or standoffish you are the likelier you are to get similar responses from the very same people you’re communicating with that way.
If you as Arthur Morgan decide to antagonize Sadie Adler to an outlandish extent you’ll be met with a cold hard slap. Sadie is already known for having a quick temper, so you can’t say you didn’t see it coming.
2 Completely Innocent
Earlier the topic of Sadie Adler not being associated with the Van Der Linde gang in the news or with law enforcement was covered. This is crazy and pretty fortunate for her considering most of the crew was known by name and hunted down.
Now that the gang’s all but abandoned and she’s not connected to any of their wrongdoings she was able to pursue anything she liked. The role of a bounty hunter came naturally to her and because of her blemish-free record, she has a lot of trust from the authorities.
1 No Redemption Here
Sadie Adler is arguably the most likable character in all of Red Dead Redemption 2 outside of Arthur Morgan. Funny enough she’s also a character who never really finds redemption or makes her way back to a good place.
She starts as an innocent wife who then turns to a life of violence and crime to fulfill her revenge and animosity towards the O’Driscoll gang. By the end of the game, she’s still an angered and rigged person who often uses violence to cope with her unresolved issues of loss.
